Hippocrates and Benefits of Natural Living; Eat Nature and Live Well

Hippocrates was a medical practitioner who is regarded as the father of medicine; author of the Hippocratic Oath (circa 460-377 BC). Just imagine that many years before the birth of Jesus Christ he had made outstanding contributions that he stood as an authority in 'modern medicine'! He preached and practiced natural health and living.

Eating healthy

He is today one of the most quoted authorities in medicine because his legacies and works stand throughout the ages. His works and fact findings have become the universal truth we all should understand and even crave for if we want to live outstanding healthy life.

These are what he said:

·         “Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.” ...
·         “There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the latter ignorance.” ...
·         “Wherever the art of Medicine is loved, there is also a love of Humanity. ”
More of nature
In essence Hippocrates wants us to be drawn again to nature, and eschew artificial or denatured foods like the processed foods we see all around us. So go natural with your fresh fruits, and vegetables. Take less of meat, and more of fish and low density oils especially plant oils (healthy oils), and your body will be happier for it.

Eat healthy oils

Also, take to exercise on a regular basis; be active and refuse to lead a sedentary lifestyle; take a walk in nature, appreciate it while you learn correct breathing.
